Citizens Advice Barking and Dagenham is a charity.
We provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice that people need for the problems they face and we work to improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.
All advice and casework is carried out to Advice Quality Standard Level and above – see the advice Categories (above) for what we can take on.
Please note:
- Housing is at a specialist level where our lawyers will represent residents (not landlords) in eviction/possession court proceedings subject to legal aid
- Welfare benefits and Employment includes legal dispute casework up to Tribunal and beyond
- Debt advice and casework is at all levels.
We are active in the local voluntary and community sector and act as a critical friend to the local authority, public and private sector agencies.
